The family and home are central to the social and intellectual development of the child which nurtures moral values. The school and the family strive to be mutually supportive and respectful of each other so that the child’s education can be effective. Thus, the school encourages parents to develop close links with the school and participate in meeting in a positive and respectful manner and also get involved in policy and decision making processes.
What the school does for its parents?
The school organizes Parent/Teacher meetings which purpose to establish and maintain good communication between the school and parents, let parents know how their children are progressing in school, help teachers get to know the children better as individuals, to share with the parents the problems and difficulties a child may have in school, to learn more about parental opinions on what the school is doing and inform the parents of standardized test results according to school policy.
The school disposes Parental counseling activities which results in a better understanding and knowledge of the child in building and developing a positive perception of the personality traits of the child and improving child school adjustment by reducing the risk of having bad behavior.
The school organizes workshop for parents to introduce them to the new standards and help them understand what to look for and how to help their children at home.
Role of Parents at home:-
Parents must take part in their children’s lives, only then they will do well at school and develop as worthy personalities. A parent can

· Give a helping hand any time child needs it and never forget to praise him or her for good achievements.
· Make a comfortable working place for a child to be able to study a home.
· Encourage a kid to do his homework well.
· Monitor child’s television, video game and Internet use.
· Maintain a balance between love and strictness.
